Hi and sincere greetings from the Mission Beyond team!

I’d like to briefly tell you about Mission Beyond Tours, a Christian adventure organisation that I run with the assistance of my wife, Kate, and some other committee members. The following provides a brief outline of Mission Beyond in terms of our vision, the organisation structure and mission.

Vision Statement

To refresh and challenge people’s lives through the provision of personally enriching, quality adventures, in the forum of God’s glorious creation.

Organisation

Mission Beyond is a Christian organisation administered by an independent committee of committed Christians, who share the vision of facilitating refreshing, challenging Christian fellowship through adventure and fun within creation.

Committee members volunteer their time and skills through their support of Mission Beyond. All activities or tours organised by Mission Beyond are run by volunteer leaders, who contribute their time and various gifts and abilities to Mission Beyond.

The Mission

Today’s world is characterised by work and social pressures, high speed communications and ready made entertainment that consumes our time and thinking. Unfortunately, this often leads us to compromise quality living and time spent with God, family and friends.

Our mission is to reach out to people by providing them with opportunities to escape the normal routine of daily life. Away from these pressures and while enjoying creation, it is our observation that people become more motivated to encourage and share with one another and more open to God. The essence of what Mission Beyond does is simple and effective – we facilitate fellowship through organising a variety of adventures in different locations. On trips we encourage people to reflect on the greatness of God through the wonder of his creation, but also to look beyond this to understand the relationship he has called us into.

Mission Beyond’s main activities centre on a wide range of leisure and adventure pursuits, including day trips, weekend and extended tours. Activities are designed for the "young at heart" and include skiing, sailing, cycling, horse riding, bushwalking, surfing and specific extended expeditions. It is central to Mission Beyond’s operating philosophy to give top value to it’s tour participants by providing excellent quality trips at competitive prices.

Finally, we hope to meet you on one or more of our fun filled trips; previous trips have shown that people are much blessed through their time away with Mission Beyond. Furthermore, adventure in God’s creation is a great forum in which unchurched friends can be introduced into an informal Christian fellowship, of fun and adventure.
